California Clean Trucks Program Collection Fee Delayed

Collection of the Clean Truck Fee (CTF) at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles will not begin Monday, November 17, as previously scheduled. More time is needed to complete ongoing discussions between Federal Maritime Commission staff and West Coast marine terminal operators regarding procedural issues. The terminals are also working to finalize the program's automated gate administration and fee collection process. The fee, to be used to finance the replacement of thousands of polluting cargo trucks, will be delayed while these issues are being resolved.

U. S. Lines announced an on-time departure of the first sailing of their new ANZL Service to Australia and New Zealand. The Falcon 1, Voyage 603, sailed Los Angeles on August 10, with its first port of call being Tauranga, NZ on August 25 before continuing on with direct calls at Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
